2 Winter Bunny Cards

I have 2 cards for you today, both using Lawn Fawn's Winter Bunny.  Love that bunny!  For this first one, I had made a tag (using PTI dies and gingham stamp) and decided I liked it so much that I would use it on a card.  I also like the pompom ribbon I added to the bottom of the tag, just adds to the cuteness (that's a word, right?).  The red pp is Martha Stewart and I used some My Mind's Eye twine.

For this next card, I kept it simple.  I used Hero Arts's Magical background stamp using Colorbox's Frost White (which is awesome) on kraft paper.  I coloured my bunny using copics.  I added a Lawn Fawn sentiment and some Stickles.  Done!

Hope you liked my cards today and would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Penguin Christmas cards

I LOVE this Jillibean Christmas Eve Chowder.  I bought the 6x6 pack and lots of the 12x12 sheets, I just can't get enough of it.  Just look at those cute penguins!

I used Hero Arts's Magical background stamp on kraft paper for the background and just cut out the penguins and trees from the pp.  The sentiment is from the same collection.  Super easy and cute.

Here I used pp for the background and again just used Jillibean paper for the rest.

Have a great weekend everyone!
Thanks for looking!

More Snowmen cards

I love that I finally got some Lawn Fawn stamps last month.  They are hard to find here (ok impossible),  so I ordered them online.  I have a lot of snowman stamps (because I love them) but I have to say that these LF ones might be my favourite.

For the first card, I used a Hero Arts background stamp and the gingham paper was made using PTI's Gingham stamp.

For this last one, I used some Martha Stewart pattern paper and the same Cheery Lynn light die that I used last week.

I hope you are all having fun getting ready for Christmas, I know I am.
Have a good one!

Tags and an ornament

Here are some of the many tags I've made recently.  Everything used is from PTI. I love the In The Meadow stamps and dies, so cute!  I made the gingham paper using PTI's gingham background set.

For the ornament, I used Lawn Fawn's Winter Bunny.  I had seen a similar ornament last year on the LF blog and knew that I would have to make one too.  Too cute!  I cut a piece of acetate to fit the inside of the ornament (I used a plastic ornament to make it kid-friendly), then stamped some white snowflakes (which you can't see very well in the picture) and adhered the snow and bunny, rolled the whole thing up and put it in the ornament.  I added some glitter which makes it sort of like a snow globe when you shake it.
Here's another picture, which isn't any better than the first, but it might give you a better idea of what it looks like.
Have a great week everyone!

Snowman card and ornaments

I'm loving this PTI snowman die.  I've been using it a lot this week.  Here, I made a card using glitter paper.  When you stamp on glitter paper, you can't see the ink very well so I added some Enamel Accents (by Rangers) for the eyes and mouth and cut out a felt nose.  The Christmas Light Swag die is by Cherry Lynn Designs and I used glitter paper again (I love glitter paper!).

Next, I made these ornaments for my kids.  I die cut the snowmen out of felt and stitched the face and some buttons.  These were a little time consuming but I liked the way they turned out and hopefully we will keep them and put them in the tree every year.

Off to make more Christmas cards!  I LOVE making Christmas cards and should really start making them in June to make all the ones I have in my head.  I never seem to learn that lesson, oh well, maybe next year.

Have a great day!

Clear Winter Wishes Card

Hello everyone!  Here's another Christmas card.

So this one was hard to photograph.  The white paper is glittered paper, the tree has some bling and the background stamp is stamped with metallic Staz On, so needless to say - very hard to photograph.  The sentiment stamp and dies are PTI and the background stamp is Hero Arts.

Have a great weekend everyone!

2 Christmas cards

I haven't blogged in a while.  The family has been keeping me busy.  I'm slowly making Christmas cards, but today I thought I would share 2 reject cards that I had made back in June for Paper Craft mag.

I really like how the first card turned out.  Pink + kraft = yum!  The pink paper is glitter paper so the whole card sparkles.  I cut the snowflake out using my Spellbinders Nestabilities, the stamp and banner die are PTI.

I don't love how the second card turned out.  It started off with one idea and snowballed into a mess. That happens, right?  I do like the colours though and will try that combo again.  I made the snowflakes out of felt using PTI's Peace Be Still die.  The letters are glitter stickers.

I'm hoping that this is one of many posts in the next little while.  I love making Christmas cards and tags and plan to post more soon.

Thanks for dropping by today!  I appreciate it :)

Happy Halloween!

Yes, a day late, I know.  Better late than never, right?  Here are the cards I made for my kids.

The stamps are Inkadinkado that I paper pieced (I love these guys!  So cute).  Most of the paper is Echo Park or scraps that I had.  This is a lot of pattern paper for me but I really tried to push myself, it turned out ok.  The vampire's cape is made of some black glitter paper.  For their hair I added some black enamel (Rangers), you can't see it very well in the pics.

Hope you all had a great Halloween.

Thanks for visiting!

Boo!

Two Halloween cards for you today.  It's just around the corner, so I popped these in the mail today.  The spider and sentiment are PTI and the background stamp is Hero Arts.  I use HA background stamps A LOT and knew when I bought the PTI set that I would be putting them together.  Erin Lincoln from PaperTrey Ink had the same idea and made a similar card (I would link it but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.  I know, bad eh?).

I love this Halloween set and will show you other projects I made using this set later this week.

Have a great week everyone!

Thanks for dropping by!

Baby Cards

I am so excited that my friend Michelle is having her first baby (it's a boy)!  I don't get to see her that often, but on our trip to Toronto this weekend I made sure to pop in for a visit.  I thought she might need a few thank you cards for all the presents she'll be getting at her baby shower, so I got busy making cards.  I love making baby cards, so this was a treat!

This last one is my favourite.  I love that cute giraffe!  The stamps and onesie die are all PTI.

Michelle loved the cards!  She liked them so much so, that she wants to use them to make a banner in the baby's room.  What a great idea!  Why didn't I think of that?!

Have a great week everyone!

Birthday card and Christmas card

I made this card for my niece Ava who's turning 4.  I love these stamps from PTI, soooo CUTE!  I don't love the way it turned out (I ran out of time) but I think my niece will like it anyway.

This next card is one of many Christmas cards to come.  I love making holiday cards, I could make them all year :)  For this one, I used Spellbinders Nestabilities ornament dies with some Close To My Heart paper.  The Noel stamp is from Michael's and the background stamp is HA.  This usually isn't my style of card to make but I like how it turned out.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Canada!  Bring on the turkey!

Have a great weekend!

Halloween Cards

I haven't posted in soooo long!  It's been a little busy here but now that the kids are back in school I'm looking forward to going back into my craft room and crafting.

In the mean time, here are some Halloween cards I made last year for my kids.

I LOVE this felt ghost (Making Memories).  He's so cute!  My son still loves this card and likes to walk around the house with it.  I actually had to fix one of his eyes this week from all the wear and tear.

On this card, the stamp is so adorable (Inkadinkado).  I paper pieced these guys and added a Making Memories bat.

I'm hoping to make some new Halloween cards next week.

Have a great weekend everyone!

More Jar Tags

Some more tags today (check out yesterday's post for all the details). These pink ones here are my favourite. I like the cute strawberries that I cut out of October Afternoon paper with the red twine. I also cut a piece of doily to add to the jar, I like the look of that.

Well, that's all for now. We are having awesome weather these days, so if I don't post for a while don't worry, I'm just enjoying summer.

Thanks for your comments. They are so appreciated :)

Jar Tags

Wow! It's been a while. The kids are keeping me busy this summer, so I've had a hard time finding time to craft. Thankfully, my 4 year old is obsessed with my cuttlebug and helped me cut all these jars, lids and tags you're about to see.

These tags are for my grandmother who, every summer, makes us some yummy strawberry jam. She jars other things too and likes to give them to her friends, so I thought these would be cute for her to use. I've been meaning to make these for a while now and since I'll be seeing her next week, my son and I got to work.

I took 2 pictures of these ones to show you that some of the jars also have acetate on top to make them look like real glass. I coloured the strawberries (very old stamp) with copics, cut them out and adhered them to the kraft jar. All other stamps and dies are PTI. They are coming out with a new set of these this month and I'll be the first in line to buy them!

I mostly used pattern paper for these jar except for the one underneath on the left that says Home Made. That one is made with stamps that come with that set. I coloured the fabric lid part with copics. The silver lids are cut out of metallic silver cardstock that I then stamp. I find that this makes them look more realistic than trying to colour them silver/grey.

I actually have a few more tags that I need to finish up tonight and will share them with you tomorrow.

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by.

Young Love!

My 4 year old son is in love with a little girl in his class. They are best friends and are so cute together. This week is the last week of school, so I made a card for her using this adorable stamp by CTMH (Baby Love). This image reminds me of them, so sweet. The sentiment is from HA (Essential Messages). I'm not crazy about all the pink but my son insisted that that was her favourite colour so it had to have a lot of pink.

Inside he made me write "I love you Anabelle! Call me" and I wrote our phone number. Hopefully they will be able to see each other a few times this summer.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my fantastic husband! He is such an amazing father to our two little ones. We are so lucky.

I made the Best Dad ribbon with paper and stickers. The world sticker (Jolee's) is the same I used for my Dad's card which I posted last week. I like the way it turned out and more importantly my husband loved it!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Father's day card

Here is the card I made for my Dad. The world embellishment is from the same Jolee's Boutique pack as the apple worm and pencil embellies on my cards yesterday. I used my Hero Arts woodgrain stamp (love it for masculine cards) for my background paper and HA Clear Cute Uppercase letters to spell DAD. The dies and argyle stamp are PTI.

I was woken up this morning by my 4 year old asking "Is it ok if I throw up in the toilet?" I scream "YES" (was there any other answer to that question). He did make it in time but he has been throwing up ever since, poor thing. That's the kind of day we are having. Hope yours is a little nicer.

4 cards!!!!

Yep, that's right, I have 4 cards for you today. There are only 2 more weeks of school left, so that means, time to get some thank you teacher cards ready (or in our case, they go to French school, so merci cards - ha!).

Don't you just love the apple with the worm? So cute! They are from Jolee's Boutique (as is the pencil on the third card). The paper is Crate Paper School Spirit 6x6 pad. I love the colours of this collection.

This last one is for my daughter, the last lunch bag card of the year.

Well, it's hotter than the sun here! I hope it cools off a little. I hate saying that after a long winter but really it was tooooo hot today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you cards

Here are some thank you cards I made. I actually made a whole bunch of these little cute ladybugs first(aren't they the cutest! CTMH stamp, love it). Then, I decided to make thank you cards with my HA stamp that I hadn't used yet.

Here is a close up of the cute ladybug. I love the glitter body and I made the antennas out of CTMH waxy flax (PP and ricrac is also CTMH).

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day!

Here is the card I made for my mom. I LOVE this card! I love the glittered hearts and the acetate that makes the jar look shiny. I had made it for a submission call but it didn't get chosen (looking at the awful picture, I can see why). I was going to try to submit it again but decided not to. Decided to share it with you guys instead ;)

Hope you are all having a great day!

Mom's Bday card!

This is the card I made for my mom for her birthday. I used the PTI jar stamps again (I just can't seem to get enough of that set). I coloured the image with my copics and really like the muted look on kraft paper. I used vintage photo distress ink on the edges to age it a bit.

I took this picture with my iphone and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

Well, that's all for today. I'm going to try and make some Christmas cards for the Paper Crafts submission call, the deadline is Monday. I'm having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit now that spring is finally here, ha.

Have a good one!

Birthday Chrysanthemum

I saw Mary Dawn's (My Pink Mexico) video on how to make beautiful chrysanthemums and just had to try it out. I love how it turned out and it was so easy to make.

I used PTI stamps and felt. (Their felt really is amazing btw, you can't go back to buying Michael's felt after having the PTI felt). I made this card for my good friend Anne who's birthday is tomorrow. The pink and blue are so her. Happy Birthday Anne!

I'll be back tomorrow to share another birthday card, this time my mother's, who's birthday is also tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by,
